What is rainwater harvesting?
Rainwater harvesting is the practice of generating a water supply by collecting rain water, typically, from a roof. Water is then stored in specialised water storage tanks to be used at a later date.
Rainwater harvesting is a cost-effective method of collecting and storing water that can be used by pastoral and arable farmers.

How safe is rainwater harvesting for agriculture?
Harvested water is ideal for spraying, irrigation and livestock. Large-scale storage tanks can be connected to environmentally friendly disinfectant treatment systems. This increases the storage time of the rainwater and storage capacity whilst vastly improving water quality for agriculture and livestock needs.
Rainwater is naturally soft. This makes it a better water source for many crops and it is naturally preferred by livestock over-chlorinated mains water.
